Laacz recently posted about photoshopping contest from Worth1K to show what it would be if everyone in real life looked like anime heroes. I think the neatest of all was Pikachu.

ESWC 2005 - 2nd European Semantic Web Conference - Heraklion, Greece, 29.05-01.06.2005 - has come to a finish.

Time to pull together what was interesting there and what people have to say about it.

Compared with last year (when I followed ESWC just by the irc chat on the Semantic Web Interest Group channel #swig) there was less immediate feedback online. Looks like only Libby Miller and me were scribing when possible.

P.S. The best online feedback I've seen so far was at the 1st Workshop on Friend of a Friend, Social Networking and the (Semantic) Web - there was active scribing on IRC and live IRC chat was fed back to the audience on a second screen in the conference room.

Unfortunately no transcripts from main conference. Maybe there are reports from the conference on participants' blogs, but I have not seen them yet. If know of any, please add them in comments or trackback.

Cliffs of Moher (Mohēras klintis) are an impressive place in West Ireland - with the height of nearly 200 meters and length of 8 km.

Though you may not suspect it, you may see some people on the photo above. Here is an enlarged part of it:

T.i., gribu, lai fotkas būtu smuki online, pa kategorijām, kādu izlasi publicēt blogā, u.t.t.

Līdzīgu kā Flickr. Tas būtu OK, bet pilnībā savas fotkas uzticēt Flickr negribu - tas tomēr ir citu piedāvās serviss un es negribu atdot kontroli pār maniem datiem citiem.

Savukārt pats uztaisīt tādu lietu es vai nu nemāku vai arī nav laika. Defaultā Gallery mani arī pilnībā neapmierina.

Tad nu tiešām dumji sanāk - tas, ko var dabūt, man nav labs. Savukārt labāku es uztaisīt nevaru. Un rezultātā es nedaru neko. Ja nu vienīgi reizi pa reizei iemetu pa vientuļai fočenei šeitan blogā. Vai deviantArtā, bet tas bija _ļoti_ sen jau.
