Analysis of "Rich Dad / Poor Dad"

John T. Reed’s analysis of Robert T. Kiyosaki’s book is interesting to read.

In it he analyses claims made by Kiyosaki and tries to find out how much of that is true. If we believe his analysis, Kiyosaki boasts about how much he owns (when he does not), never did 24h real estate buy/sell miracles and his books are full of nonsense.

P.S. I just mistyped title of the book as "Rich Data / Poor Data". Is it a Freudian slip? :)

I like that perspective on it. I have to think about that and get back after I have had a chance to think about it more.

Hi,

I recently read John T Reed's scathing analysis of Rich Dad, Poor Dad and feel that although he seems to have an axe to grind with Kiyosaki, he does raise some interesting points.

My own opinion of the book is that Kiyosaki gives some thought-provoking advice wrapped up in an entertaining read, however some aspects of the text annoyed me slightly, such as the poor layout, repitition, advertisements for his board game and periodic boasting.

I cannot say whether the advice he gives and the recommendations he makes are sound because I am no a millionairre (yet), but when I am I will certainly update my views.

My review of Rich Dad, Poor Dad can be found here:

Robert Kiosaki is a great writer in a sense that he really motivate the business minded people through telling them the bigger world. but..yes.. he oversee risks. Which is eventhough it is part of being an entrepreneur, a risk taker..

Have you read his book? If you did, you'd probably stop giving him so much credit for things that he can't possibly know.
